01/02/13 Update: v2.5 went on sale today. It can be downloaded from here
StresStimulus V2.5 public beta, released today, added more than two dozen new features and enhancements. It also substantially upgraded the user interface. While 2.0 introduced the Enterprise Edition, 2.5 introduced the Enterprise "look and feel". Additionally, UI changes substantially reduced StresStimulus reliance on the Fiddler UI. These changes are made as a part of migration to the standalone StresStimulus version.
The initial v2.0 public build will be followed by one or several updates that will be released in the several upcoming weeks. The first 4-part release notes describe what's new in the today's version. Parts 1, 2 and 3 describe new features in the Pro and Enterprise edition, while Part 4 is exclusively dedicated to the Enterprise edition as follows:
- Part 1 - New UI (Enterprise and Pro).
- Part 2 - Test Case features (Enterprise and Pro).
- Part 3 - Test Results (Enterprise and Pro).
- Part 4 - Enterprise Edition Features.
If you have a commercial or trial license for v 2.0 version, then in v2.5 beta your current number of licensed VUs will be unlocked automatically without activation. As in previous versions, this beta is time-limited and will be replaced by a production version when it is released.
V2.5 beta is designed to be backward compatible, but not forward compatible. It will open tests saved in 2.0, but not vice versa. So if you decided to go back to 2.0, keep the copies of the test files in 2.0 format.
