A new StresStimulus version released today allows selecting network type for virtual users. Currently the following network types are supported: LAN, T1, Cable/DSL 384k, Dial-Up 56k.
StresStimulus will simulate load for a particular bandwidth limit. Network types other than LAN are emulated by injecting a certain wait time into every request and response, weighted to its size and network type, to mimic desired network conditions.
Among other enhancements, StresStimulus checks for updates only when StresStimulus tab is selected. Previously the updates where checked on Fiddler startup. This change is made to reduce chances of StresStimulus to prompt for upgrade users that do not need it immediately.
