Compare cold start to warm start result

Unregistered User Posts: 514 10/18/2021	Unregistered User Posts: 514 It was mentioned that server caching plays a part in the outcome (i.e. running when the server is cold- little to no cache being utilized). Could you give some insight as to what the tool does to help this? Is there a way to compare a "cold start" to a "warm start" on the tool itself, by any chance, or something similar?

It seems like you are trying to compare your application's response times when the server's cache is empty (cold) vs. primed (warm). It can be accomplished by using warm-up times as described https://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc54/Warm-up To compare cold start and warm start tests, do the following: To run a cold test, execute a test for 10 minutes as described https://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc54/Run+Duration To run a warm test for 10 minutes with an additional 2 minutes (120 seconds) warm-up time. After both tests are complete, use the compare tests feature ( https://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc54/Comparing+Tests) to compare the 2 test runs.
