In its review of v2.5, published this week, Tools Journal noted the main highlights of the current release:
"The latest release adds new features to simplify test configuration with point-and-click capability for creating extractors and functionality for auto-cloning parameters. The test configuration errors are automatically exposed on new object validation tree. To provide more precise, test requirement specific information, additional support has been provided for monitoring performance of custom business transactions created by an enterprise to test their business specific requirements.
A new extractor type has been introduced that allows extracting a value from an XML response, using XPath query. This can be especially helpful in load testing web services. Interface with external analytical tools allows extended custom reporting. To further strengthen the enterprise offering StresStimulus now supports performance testing of broadly used enterprise applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, SAP BPC, Salesforce and many frameworks."
