Your VU users are they true Simultaneous Concurrent, or threaded concurrent… (we are most interested in measuring true concurrent/simultaneous connections and latency on REST calls to our platform.
Thanks.

I'm not sure I fully understand the difference between the true Simultaneous Concurrent vs. threaded concurrent from the web server standpoint. In StresStimulus, every VU iterates through the test case completely independently from the others. Every VU’s browser opens its own set of TCP connections that are required to simulate its respective browser types, cache settings, network types, etc. As a result, StresStimulus load engine massively pours concurrent requests and listens for responses on all open connections. The only shared resource is a test machine itself. You can check the concurrency of StresStimulus requests / connections / TCP ports using Pipe Map view in the Fiddler’s Timeline tab.
So, from the standpoint of testing how your platform handles REST calls, you should not have issues with unrealistic concurrency. Just make sure that the Health Monitor on your test machines stays green, which means that CPU utilization does not exceed 85% .
Cheers, -Vadim
