We would like to determine if your tool requires any components installed on any servers, or if rather it queries them directly to get KPI & counter data off servers.
Typically, we cannot install components onto servers in data centers.

StresStimulus emulates physical user behavior by generating HTTP traffic against your server infrastructure and measures KPI from user’s perspective. For that main performance testing functionality, no component has to be installed on your servers.

StresStimulus has additional monitoring capability that allows to include into load tests system and application performance counters such as CPU, memory, as well as any other Windows perfmon counters. This capability is built on top on Windows API and therefore does not require installing any components on the server side as well. These capabilities are only available for MS Dynamics on-premise if your servers are located in your internal network.

And finally, if servers under your control are located outside your data centers, and you want to monitor their Windows perfmon counters via the Internet, StresStimulus has an optional PerMon monitoring agent that can be installed on the servers to measure the performance of system components such as SQL Server, IIS, ASP.NET in addition to the KPI. The monitoring agent is optional and rarely used. It is described here http://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc49/Windows+Servers+Monitorin

If you would have such use case and would be interested to learn more about PerMon monitoring agent please let me know and I will provide more technical information.
