Save Extractor Value to file

I am trying to save an extracted value to a file on my desktop.
I use the example at Url : http://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc51/Save+extractor%27s+value
I created a scriptable var and copied this code in. However, my text file is empty after an iteration. Even if I just parse some text.
How do I know the script is being called?

There is an easier way to save an extractors value using the Test Output property that is described http://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc52/Test+Output
It does not require writing any code for components or scriptable variables.
