Load agents are cloud-only, meaning they are automatically provisioned when a test starts, and deleted when the test ends.
The controller, where the script is stored and the test is initiated, should persist. So while the controller can be a cloud base instance, it has to be manually created and continuously maintained. From that standpoint, while all load agents and the controllers are cloud based, we call StresStimulus a hybrid solution where all of the infrastructure is cloud based.

You can have 100% of the infrastructure on the cloud (see above). If you wish, you can also keep the controller and some of the agents locally.

StresStimulus provides load generators as preconfigured AWS public images. When you start a test, a StresStimulus controller (that can be also be an AWS VM), through your AWS login, automatically creates the load agents. After the end of the test, you have a configuration option to automatically delete or keep cloud agents.
