Hi,
What are the installation requirements for stress stimulus? I tried to install it on an HP thin client running embedded XP with .Net 4.0 and it failed to install. There were no error messages or feedback.

Hi Frank,
StresStimulus requires Fiddler It can be installed from http://www.fiddler2.com/Fiddler2/version.asp
Here are the formal requirements:
- Windows XP / 2K3 / Vista / 2K8 / Win7 / Win8
- Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or later
- 8 megabytes disk space / 800mhz processor (Screams at 2.4ghz)
- 512 megabytes RAM (2GB+ highly recommended
Do you know whether your HP thin client has Microsoft .NET Framework v2 or V3?

It has .Net v4 installed. The other properties are:
Windows Embedded XP Standard SP3
CPU VIA nano u3500 @ 1GHz
RAM 896 MB

Did you try to install Fiddler? If Fiddler will run, then StresStimulus will most likely run as well.
If Fiddler will not install because .NET CLR 2.0 is missing, and you cannot install .NET 2.0, let me know. We are planning to port StresStimulus on .NET 4.0 without requiring CLR 2.0, and I will drop you a note when this is complete.

Fiddler installed with no problems. Just can't install StresStimulus.

I would like you to check two things:
1. Do you have NET 2.0 installed?
- One way of checking it is to look in Add/Remove programs to see if is an option to remove .NET 2.0 exist.
- Alternatively you can check if you have the file, fusion.dll, in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\
2. Does StresStimulusInstaller.exe process appear in Task Manager when launching StresStimulus installer?

1) .Net 2 was installed.
2) I was trying to install the program from a remote volume. When I copied the installer to the internal drive of the thin client the successful.
