I'm looking at stress testing our new web application. We need to test it from multiple sites on net. Do you have a solution for this?

8/10/12 Update: With the release of v2.0 on 9/10/12, the "cloud use" will be limited to new customers purchased Enterprise Edition license after 9/10/12.   Existing Pro Edition customers obtained their licenses before 9/10/12 can continue the "cloud use".
----------------------------------------------
While StresStimulus is primarily an on-premise performance testing tool, some of our customers use Amazon EC2 cloud to stress test from the following locations:

  • US East (Northern Virginia),

  • US West (Oregon),

  • US West (Northern California),

  • EU (Ireland),

  • Asia Pacific (Singapore),

  • Asia Pacific (Tokyo).

To do so, install Fiddler and StresStimulus on one or several Amazon EC2 VMs.  If you use a licensed or a trial version of StresStimulus, you would need to activate it similarly to how you do it from your computer.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT forget to DEACTIVATE the serial number from the virtual server after you complete load testing but BEFORE you terminate the instance. This is necessary to be able to continue using the same serial number on other machines. Failing to do so will cause locking the serial number to a not existing machine.
