The ability to maintain the same workload in different tests to more accurately determine the impact of performance tuning on response time improvements is developed in v1.0. here is how it works:

  1. Run 1-st test before the tuning.

  2. Tune-up website performance.

  3. In the 2-nd test set "Total Iteration time" equal to the average
iteration time of the 1-st test. Keep all other test options unchanged.

  4. Run the 2-nd test. StresStimulus will maintain the constant iteration duration by injecting a dynamically determined think time at the end of those  iterations, which are completed sooner that in the 1-st test.

  5. Compare response times in two tests. The result of the comparison will be free from the impact, caused by uneven request/second rate in the two tests.

Cheers,
