Load testing against VS2010 local server

I am currently using VS2010 locally as my web server which will be deployed onto some ISP later. Is there any point in load testing my app locally?

We recommend starting load testing early in the application cycle because addressing performance issues earlier is less expensive. Some bugs and suboptimal code can be detected under load only. You can run a load test against VS2010 WebDev WebServer. Just record your test case from the vs2010 website and the load will be directed to WebDev WebServer.
