Hi,

I have one query on dataset. I knew that we can import data from csv file to tool. But is it possible that i place data in one file somewhere in computer and save its path in tool. So that everytime i do not need to change data in dataset.

Kindly confirm.

Hi Vivek,
Yes you can do that. Datasets are actually implemented as references to *.csv files. For example, when in the test  <Test Name> you create a dataset  <Dataset Name> and import data from an external .csv file, then StresStimulus will create the following file:

 %My Documents%\Fiddler2\StresStimulus\<Test Name>\<Test Name>_<Dataset Name>.csv

and  populate it with  data from the external .csv file.

Unfortunately, you cannot rename or move this file to a different location. But you can change the content of this file. After that, re-open StresStimulus to re-load the new dataset content.
Will this work for you?
Cheers,
