Hi Vadim,

I would like to understand where the error count is coming from? From reading this post, http://www.stresstimulus.com/forum/where-can-i-find-the-error-detail-from-the-test-results-161, and from what I've seen with the tests, I've assumed that the error is due to HTTP 404, 500, etc. response code.  In trying to debug problems with my test, I used Fiddler's filter option to hide successful/redirects responses. When I do this, I don't see any requests displayed, but the error count increases in SS. I checked the web application's event viewer and did not see any errors logged.

A video is here: http://screencast.com/t/kjbuKumkb. In the beginning, I've shown the filter options. At around 1 minute into the video, you can see that there are a 72 errors, shown from SS, but no errors in the filtered display, the pending count shown in SS is 629, but is shown as 123 in Fiddler.

Please help me understand. Thank you!

Vice versa, in this screen capture: http://screencast.com/t/VllTHmIZOy4, you can see that I see HTTP 500 errors, but the error count in SS did not increase.

Huong,

The source of errors thrown by StresStimulus is timeout, set in Test Case -> Page Settings grid. The default is 60 sec. If any request associated with the page exceeds the page timeout, it is counted as an error. StresStimulus shows timed-out responses in red. Since you filtered-out all 200 responses, the timeouts will be hidden. You can increase timeout to see fewer errors.

You are right that StresStimulus does not count 400 and 500 errors. We will fix it in the next version. It also will have an option to show error sessions only, so you would not need to use Fiddler filtering.

P.S. Nice screencasts. Make support really easy!

Hi Vadim,
Awesome! I'll tweak the timeout and see how it goes. Thank you.

This issue with not counting 400 and 500 errors was resolved in v0.9.

This is confirmed, thank you. The error and timeout count metrics are very useful for me.
