difference between static content and screen shot

Unregistered User Posts: 509 10/15/2020	Unregistered User Posts: 509 When I am recording the script is it mandatory to check the checkbox record static content. If I am not going to use the checkbox during recording only use take screen shot checkbox it will create any impact. Pls, help me which one is appropriate and also let me know the difference.

Both of these checkboxes are described http://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc52/Recording+with+Web+Browser Take screenshots of pages: Will take screenshots of your application during recording. This checkbox will not have any impact on running your load test. This checkbox is recommended to be checked. Record static content: Will record static resources (such as style sheets, images, and static javascripts) and add them to your test case. This will have an impact on running your load test. If you are testing a very backend driven application (like Dynamics CRM or alike then it is recommended to uncheck this checkbox. If you are testing a frontend application such as eCommerce, then it is recommended to check this checkbox.
