If We don’t have a public IP address for the agent, only internal IP like xxx.yyy.###.###. What additional configuration on the firewall would be necessary?

Is your controller is located on the same subnet as your agent with no additional router or firewall between them? - If yes, then you can use agents internal IP like xxx.yyy.###.### with no additional port forwarding configurations (like if the internal IP would be the public IP)
- If no, then you cannot use such agent with the controller without the agent's public IP address and port forwarding configurations (see my next clarification.)
If your agent machine is behind a firewall, then you would need to set up port forwarding on the firewall on port 49998 to the agent machine.

If your controller is on the same subnet as your agent, then in the agent Host/IP address field, use agent's internal IP address; No additional port forwarding configurations is required. If your controller is not on the same subnet as your agent, then in the agent Host/IP address field, use agent's public IP address and then configure port forwarding on the agent firewall. - If you want to connect to more than one agent machine on the same network, then every subsequent agent machine must listen on a different port. To change the agent listening port in the main menu Edit > Agent Options > change the listening port. Then set up port forwarding to that machine on the firewall at the specified agent listening port.
