Testing Windows Services apps

George @StresStimulus Administrator Posts: 555 11/19/2023	George @StresStimulus Administrator Posts: 555 StresStimulus can test backend Windows service type calls and can be done one of two ways. If the backend protocol is HTTP/S, then you can create a script using Web API Test builder (https://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc58/Creating+Sessions+with+Web+API+Test+Builder) or Postman (https://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc58/Creating+Sessions+with+Postman). Then, execute the script as you would any other recorded script. If the backend protocol is any other protocol, you can write custom code for sending server requests with whatever protocol your server requires using action components (https://support.stresstimulus.com/display/doc58/Action+components). Then, include the action components into one or several transactions in a test case that you can load test with multiple VUs and get complete transaction performance metrics (average time, percentiles, error rate, etc.)
